Job description

Our Customer is seeking a Content Designer/Strategist on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is a hybrid setup (4 days on-site and 1 day remote/week) in Santa Monica, CA.



Responsibilities:

  • Write clear, concise microcopy for new product features across a consumer-facing mobile app and an advertising management platform
  • Create UI copy for in-app notifications, banners, and web-based product experiences
  • Collaborate closely with product designers, product managers, localization partners, and user research teams to build and refine product experiences
  • Name features and audit product language to ensure quality, consistency, accessibility, and translatability
  • Conduct and support A/B testing to evaluate copy performance and improve user outcomes
  • Ensure language aligns with UX best practices and supports monetization and advertising-related product goals
  • Brainstorm new product ideas and independently lead content-focused initiatives that drive measurable impact
  • Present content strategy, rationale, and outcomes to senior stakeholders
  • Partner cross-functionally to influence design decisions and advocate for strong content design principles


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience writing product or UI copy for digital products, preferably mobile applications
  • Strong microcopy writing skills, particularly within UX/UI environments tied to monetization or advertising platforms
  • Portfolio or case studies demonstrating content design–led impact
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deliver high-quality copy under tight deadlines
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to independently identify problems and propose solutions
  • Experience in presenting work and explaining content or design decisions to stakeholders
  • Background in the technology industry preferred, especially within monetization-focused products
  • Strong design sensibility with the ability to articulate and defend content and design choices
  • Familiarity with the product ecosystem or platform domain is preferred
  • Experience primarily focused on marketing copywriting, agency advertising campaigns, long-form writing, or social media content creation is not preferred
