Job description

Our customer is a leading global media and entertainment company that creates and distributes a large portfolio of content and brands across television, film, and streaming and is available in over 200 countries and territories and over 45 languages. Headquartered in New York, NY with more than 30 office locations in the United States.


We are seeking a Content Operations Manager on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is hybrid (2 days on-site and 3 days remote/week) in Knoxville, TN.


This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of content management systems, data-driven decision-making, and the ever-changing digital media landscape. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in complex data analysis, SEO & AI/LLM best practices, content optimization, and content operation workflows.



Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead content strategy and operations to drive user acquisition, engagement, and high-quality website experiences
  • Establish and maintain cohesive workflows across content teams
  • Improve content discoverability and performance through best practices and data-driven insights
  • Analyze cross-channel metrics and provide actionable recommendations to increase reach and ROI
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including monetization, product, engineering, editorial, and external partners
  • Align and prioritize content initiatives with broader business goals
  • Audit workflows and optimize systems for efficiency and scalability
  • Monitor industry trends across content, search, and digital platforms to inform strategy


Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience using analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, or Adobe Analytics to drive data-informed decisions
  • 8+ years of experience in SEO, organic traffic growth, and emerging technologies such as AI chatbots or LLM platforms
  • 8+ years of experience working with ad-supported websites
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies
  • Experience working with content management systems and analytics platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Analytics, Google tools, BrightEdge, Similarweb, and Asana
  • Experience managing and tracking work through tools such as Jira
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, complex environment
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills across cross-functional teams
  • Ability to operate effectively in a hybrid work environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with affiliate content marketing
  • Experience working within CMS platforms for content publishing and optimization
