Overview

We are a boutique, full-service business law firm seeking a talented

corporate Attorney to join our rapidly growing business and commercial team.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced attorney to participate in a growing practice with a diverse client base that spans industries ranging from general corporate, real estate and construction to health care, IT and employment matters.

The firm represents an array of clients—from individuals and closely held businesses to private investment firms, large institutions, national franchises, and publicly traded companies.

We are looking for an experienced corporate attorney with a proven history of negotiating

complex business contracts, advising clients on corporate structuring, governance, business

operations, and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have experience drafting, analyzing and

negotiating partnership and shareholder agreements, MSAs, vendor contracts, NDAs,

employment contracts and other general business agreements related to the ongoing support of the firm’s clients. Candidates should also possess a strong work ethic, be detail oriented and have a desire for autonomy and significant client/matter responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

 Lead the review, negotiation, and drafting of complex, high-value commercial contracts

 Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate legal and business risks

 Provide strategic legal advice to clients and other attorneys across the firm

 Develop and maintain contract standards, templates, and best practices

 Oversee and mentor junior attorneys or legal staff involved in contract review

 Manage escalations related to contract disputes, interpretations, or breaches

 Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations applicable to client businesses

 Support client business initiatives by balancing legal risk with commercial objectives

Required Qualifications

 Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

 Active license to practice law

 5+ years of experience in contract law, commercial law, or in-house legal roles

 Extensive experience negotiating complex commercial agreements

 Demonstrated ability to provide strategic, business-focused legal advice to private clients

Skills & Competencies

 Advanced contract drafting and negotiation

 Risk management and strategic decision-making

 Leadership and mentoring

 Strong stakeholder management

 Excellent written and verbal communication

 High level of professional judgment and discretion

Why Us?

We offer a collegial, highly collaborative work environment where attorneys are given ample

opportunities to grow and thrive. We value dedication, initiative, and, most importantly, results.

We take pride in developing our attorneys and provide them with the resources and mentorship

needed for success. While obtaining favorable results for our clients is the top priority, we also

encourage and provide the flexibility and resources necessary for our associates to get involved

outside of the firm and develop their own business.

Compensation & Benefits:

1. Expected total compensation: $125,000 - $175,000 (heavily dependent on experience,

full/part time status and billables)

2. 401(k) with employer match

3. Health insurance

4. Paid time off

5. Maternity/Paternity leave

6. Professional development opportunities

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday

Location: Oakbrook Terrace, IL office
