Reporting to the VP of IT, the Contract IT Project Manager will manage the full project lifecycle for IT initiatives across the Strongpoint portfolio.
The Contract IT Project Manager will support and enable the business objectives of Strongpoint’s business units, working alongside the Strongpoint executive team. **Strongpoint’s headquarters is in Chicago – our preference is for this role to be hybrid in the Chicago area. This is a full-time contract position.
** What you'll do: Communicate, Innovate, and Problem Solve: • Collaborate with technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Create and maintain project plans, timelines, risk registers, and status reports.
• Drive alignment across cross-functional teams and ensure accountability for key milestones.
• Identify and resolve project issues, manage risks, and communicate updates clearly to leadership.
• Oversee project documentation and ensure compliance with internal standards and governance processes.
Who you are:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 5+ years of IT project management experience across a variety of domains (infrastructure, applications, security, etc.)
• Strong understanding of IT systems, enterprise software, networks, and cloud platforms
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects concurrently
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Microsoft Project
• PMP or other relevant certification is a plus.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-starter who wants to make an impact
• Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to inspire and lead collaborative efforts
• Adaptable with a forward-thinking mindset
