Job description

They are in search of a Contracts Manager/Paralegal to support their Strategic Partnerships team, which is working to develop and implement critical third-party relationships. This position will support a team of business development professionals and contract negotiators. Successful candidates will have experience with contract drafting and review, excellent analytical and program management skills, strong attention to detail, and experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Contract Administration:
    • Support the business team in processing and administering a diverse range of contracts from internal approvals through execution.
    • This work includes drafting agreement summaries, highlighting key risks, managing agreements through the internal approvals process, arranging execution, and ensuring completeness of internal record-keeping.
  • Research:
    • Review agreements and extract relevant data and key terms to support the team’s work.
  • Organize:
    • Gather and organize agreements from CLM system to set up projects for success. Support continuous improvement of standard form agreements and playbooks.
  • Other as-needed administrative work to support the team’s goals.

Minimum qualifications:

  • 5+ years law firm or in-house experience as a paralegal or contracts manager
  • 3+ years of experience in contract lifecycle management (CLM) including creation, collaboration, signing, tracking, and renewal
  • Strong drafting skills, able to draft contracts independently, and advise business partners directly
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial approach to recognizing needs, solving problems, anticipating issues and developing solutions
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, capable of handling multiple requests in a fast-paced environment and managing priorities
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and a commitment to professionalism and collegiality
  • Excellent business judgment and strategic thinking
  • Flexibility and willingness to work on a broad variety of matters
  • Strong computer and word processing skills, including proficiency in Google Docs and Sheets, and Microsoft Word and Excel.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) certification
  • JD or equivalent degree
  • Admitted to a bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law

  • 100% Remote with PST hours preferred
