Job description
Our customer is a leading global media and entertainment company that creates and distributes a large portfolio of content and brands across television, film, and streaming and is available in over 200 countries and territories and over 45 languages. Headquartered in New York, NY with more than 30 office locations in the United States.
We are seeking a People and Culture Coordinator on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is on-site in Burbank, CA.
The main function of a People and Culture Coordinator is to maintain the human resource records of the organization’s employees. A typical People and Culture Coordinator is responsible for maintaining personnel documents as well as performing background checks, along with other employee-related activities.
Responsibilities:
- Process, verify, and maintain documentation relating to personnel activities such as staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, and classifications.
- Process and review employment applications to evaluate the qualifications or eligibility of applicants.
- Record data for each employee, including such information as addresses, weekly earnings, and supervisory reports on performance.
- Answer questions regarding examinations, eligibility, salaries, benefits, and other pertinent information.
- Request information from law enforcement officials, previous employers, and other references to determine applicants’ employment acceptability.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an office support setting
- Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information.
- Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel
- Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
