Job description
Our Customer is an American worldwide clothing and accessories retailer, founded in 1969. Over the last 50 years, the company has grown from a single store to a global fashion business with seven brands. Their clothes are available in 90 countries worldwide through over 3,100 company-operated stores, almost 400 franchise stores, and e-commerce sites and is still growing.
We are seeking an Copywriter on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is hybrid (onsite schedule: Tuesday Wednesday Thursday) in San Francisco, CA.What you'll do:
- Write product copy to promote the sale of goods and services
- Communicate with internal and external customers for optimal product presentation
- Read/analyze technical information for each product
- Observe and use products to gain understanding
- Attend meetings related to online production and write for assigned pages
- Adjust copy to meet customer, marketing, and management needs
- Track product progress online and organize workload efficiently
- Write various types of documents including news releases, instruction manuals, etc.
- Maintain a library of current reference materials and review copy using a checklist
- Assist team leader and other copywriters as needed
- Perform clerical duties and ensure compliance with copy laws and regulations
MUST Haves:
- BA in English, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing, or related field
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret information
- Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills
- Detail-oriented and well organized
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks
- Basic knowledge of Macintosh and/or PC computers
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel (preferably Airtable as well)
- Basic Internet/e-commerce knowledge
***The salary range for this position is $24.55 - $25.37 per hour.***
