Copywriter

Our Customer is an American worldwide clothing and accessories retailer, founded in 1969. Over the last 50 years, the company has grown from a single store to a global fashion business with seven brands. Their clothes are available in 90 countries worldwide through over 3,100 company-operated stores, almost 400 franchise stores, and e-commerce sites and is still growing.

We are seeking an Copywriter on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is hybrid (onsite schedule: Tuesday Wednesday Thursday) in San Francisco, CA.

What you'll do:

• Write product copy to promote the sale of goods and services
• Communicate with internal and external customers for optimal product presentation
• Read/analyze technical information for each product
• Observe and use products to gain understanding
• Attend meetings related to online production and write for assigned pages
• Adjust copy to meet customer, marketing, and management needs
• Track product progress online and organize workload efficiently
• Write various types of documents including news releases, instruction manuals, etc.
• Maintain a library of current reference materials and review copy using a checklist
• Assist team leader and other copywriters as needed
• Perform clerical duties and ensure compliance with copy laws and regulations

MUST Haves:

• BA in English, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing, or related field
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret information
• Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills
• Detail-oriented and well organized
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks
• Basic knowledge of Macintosh and/or PC computers
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel (preferably Airtable as well)
• Basic Internet/e-commerce knowledge

***The salary range for this position is $24.55 - $25.37 per hour.***
