We are seeking a Corporate Actions Analyst on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. This role is hybrid (4 days on-site and 1 day remote/week) in Houston, TX.
The Corporate Actions Analyst is responsible for analyzing, validating, and posting corporate action events, as well as coordinating voluntary corporate action responses. This role requires timely and accurate processing, strong attention to detail, and the ability to support internal partners with questions or issues related to corporate actions. The analyst will develop a broad knowledge of all corporate action event types and their impact on Investment Books of Record (IBOR) and Accounting Books of Record (ABOR). The position also participates in projects and initiatives within Investment Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Process and submit voluntary corporate action responses to custodians and other relevant parties accurately and on time.
- Collect, compile, analyze, and verify corporate action data from multiple internal and external sources.
- Record corporate action details into internal systems and perform self-review to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain documentation and supporting records for all corporate action activity.
- Respond to inquiries from internal stakeholders, external auditors, investment teams, and other business units.
- Assist internal teams across global locations with corporate action questions, issues, or escalations.
- Complete assigned special projects and departmental initiatives.
- Support continuous improvement efforts within daily team processes.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail with the ability to validate complex data.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external partners.
- Ability to learn corporate action event types and understand downstream impacts to IBOR and ABOR.
- Ability to work under immediate supervision while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
- Proficiency with data entry, documentation, and verifying information from multiple systems or sources.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and support both routine and project-based work.
