  • Contribute to the development and execution of the company’s overarching communications strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Craft and refine key corporate messages, positioning the company as an industry leader and trusted brand.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including media, regulators, customers, and employees.
  • Handle media inquiries related to sensitive issues and provide spokesperson support when necessary.
  • Draft statements, media responses, and external communications that reflect the company's stance and position on corporate issues.
  • Proactively monitor industry trends, media coverage, and regulatory environments to identify emerging issues that could impact the organization.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 8-10 years relevant work experience, either at a PR agency or on an in-house communications team
  • Proven experience in handling high-pressure communication situations, including crises
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments
  • Experience managing media relations and serving as a spokesperson
  • Ability to anticipate and identify potential issues before they become crises
  • Sound judgment and the ability to work quickly and decisively under pressure
  • A deep understanding of corporate reputation management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ideally, previous experience with a financial, tech, or publicly-traded company
  • Excellent communications, research, and writing skills
  • Attention to detail and strong follow-through
  • The ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
  • Enthusiasm, an exceptional work ethic, and a self-starter attitude
