Job description

Core Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain accounting records in the firm’s trust accounting software for multiple trust entities
  • Record and classify individual and business expenditures, receipts, and other transactions
  • Track and prepare data for accurate 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC filings
  • Run monthly financial reports and reconcile all accounts
  • Review financial statements, including investment accounts, to verify accuracy
  • Prepare cash flow projections and asset sale projections
  • Support year-end close processes and fiduciary tax reporting coordination
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed

Qualifications/Skills

  • 3+ years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for trust, estate, or fiduciary accounting
  • Experience with accounting software (Quickbooks and Sage)
  • Knowledge of 1099 reporting requirements and IRS compliance
  • Proficient in preparing financial reports, cash flow projections, and variance analysis
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • CPA or EA license a plus (not required)
