CPA

The Mom Project is excited to partner with a CPA firm in the Chicago area that has a deep history of delivering exceptional accounting services. Since 1986, they have provided comprehensive tax and accounting solutions for individuals and businesses. They are national in scope and have served thousands of clients since inception. They are looking for a CPA for auditing support to join their team.

Responsibilities
Below are some of the responsibilities the CPA is expected to assume in their position:

• Conduct comprehensive audits of not-for-profit and for profit entities according to generally accepted accounting standards
• Prepare financial statements and related notes
• Prepare and file all necessary tax forms
• Ensure audits are completed promptly in accordance with general accepted auditing standards
• Oversee the audit staff and be responsible for all scheduling
• Be prepared for Peer Group Review once every three years

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting
• Proficiency in accounting software, audit software and bookkeeping programs such as QuickBooks Online, Lacerte Tax Software, and Thomson Reuters audit Suite and PPC
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Minimum of 4-5 years experience in accounting, auditing and tax
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong analytical skills
• Time management and organizational skills
• Single audit and yellow book audit experience a plus
