Location: Quincy, MA
Firm Size: Small CPA Firm (4 CPA’s)
Employment Type: Part-Time (20-28 hrs/week)

Compensation: Commensurate on experience

We’re a boutique CPA firm dedicated to providing personalized audit, tax, and advisory services to small businesses, nonprofits, and individuals. We’re looking for a motivated part-time Audit and Tax Associate to join our growing practice and play a key role in client service and technical execution.


Responsibilities:


Audit (65%)

  • Assist in planning and executing financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations
  • Perform substantive testing and analytical procedures
  • Prepare audit workpapers and documentation in accordance with professional standards
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to clients and partners


Tax (35%)

  • Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and nonprofits
  • Conduct tax research and stay current on changes in tax laws
  • Assist in tax planning and advisory services for clients
  • Respond to IRS and state agency notices and inquiries


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (CPA or CPA-eligible preferred)
  • 4–5 years of experience in public accounting (audit and/or tax)
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, audit procedures, and tax regulations
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., CCH ProSystem fx, or similar)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team environment
