Job description

Our Customer is an American financial services mutual organization based in Milwaukee. The financial security company provides consultation on wealth and asset income protection, education planning, retirement planning, investment advisory services, financial planning trust and private client services, estate planning and business planning. Its products include life insurance, permanent life insurance, disability income, and long-term care insurance; annuities; investments; and investment advisory products and services.

Our customer is looking for a Digital Creative Producer on a contract basis to help support their ongoing business needs. This role is Hybrid, 3 days a week onsite in Milwaukee, WI.

About the Role

You will own the creative process social content – organic and paid – from brief through final delivery. Your job is to shape the brief, drive concepting and design with the creative team, and move every asset through the review and approval process on a timeline that holds.

You will sit on the Creative Production team and partner daily with marketing business partners, creative discipline leads, video production, media, compliance, and external agency partners. The producer in this seat is the connective tissue between what the business wants in market and what the creative team can realistically deliver – and the person everyone turns to for the honest status of a workstream.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple social creative projects from brief through final delivery, holding both the monthly always-on calendar and campaign flights at the same time.
  • Review and verify the creative brief, making sure the business objective, audience, and channel requirements are settled before concepting starts.
  • Resource and manage a team of copywriters, designers, and creative leads.
  • Own the review process end to end: schedule and run business partner rounds, consolidate conflicting feedback into a single clear direction, route assets through compliance, and drive each round to a decision rather than another round.
  • Partner with the video producer on video assets: hand off approved concepts and scripts, align shoot and post schedules to the review calendar, and stay accountable for the finished asset landing on time and on spec with the business partner.
  • Build and maintain timelines that account for multiple rounds of business partner and compliance review, and rebuild them honestly when a round runs long.
  • Track disclosure and disclaimer requirements by placement and make sure versioning stays accurate when those requirements change late in a cycle.
  • Write and send a weekly creative status that gives business partners a truthful read on every workstream, including what is at risk and what needs their decision.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with marketing business partners, creative discipline leads, media partners, and external agencies, including scoping and estimate conversations.
  • Identify risk early – scope creep, timeline compression, budget exposure, compliance rework – and escalate with a recommended path rather than a problem statement.
  • Own quality control on delivered assets, following visual QA processes and confirming every version meets platform specifications before handoff.
  • Close the loop with performance data where it is available, and carry what the last round of creative learned into the next brief.

What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days

  • By day 30, you have picked up the in-flight social calendar without a missed delivery date, you know who the business partner are for each workstream, and the weekly status is going out under your name.
  • By day 60, you are running concept and review cycles independently and building timelines that hold, because you have learned how many rounds a given type of asset actually takes here.
  • By day 90, you are the owner business partners come to directly, and you have flagged at least one place where our concept-to-approval process can be tightened.

What You'll Bring

Required

  • Five or more years producing creative in an agency or in-house creative team, with social as a primary focus.
  • Demonstrated ownership of the concept-through-approval process: briefing creative teams, guiding concepts to a recommendation, consolidating stakeholder feedback, and closing out reviews.
  • Working fluency in the platforms we publish to – Meta, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, TikTok Pinterest, and LinkedIn – including native specifications, aspect ratios, safe zones, and how a cutdown has to change from one placement to the next.
  • Enough understanding of the video process – scripting, storyboards, edit stages, and post – to scope it, schedule it, and give useful direction to a video producer and editor.
  • Comfort producing in a regulated environment, where creative moves through compliance review, disclosure language is prescribed, and timelines have to absorb review cycles you do not control.
  • Proven capacity to hold many concurrent deliverables. In a typical week this seat is tracking several dozen individual assets across organic, paid, and field workstreams, each at a different review stage.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Workfront or an equivalent enterprise project management system, plus enough familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud and online review tooling to work fluently with designers and editors.
  • A self-starter who works independently, keeps meticulous notes and records, and escalates at the right moment rather than the last one.

Preferred

  • Experience in financial services, or with financial clients inside an agency.
  • Experience concepting creator, influencer, or user-generated content, including talent coordination and usage rights.
  • Experience across paid social and paid digital alongside organic, and coordinating creative delivery with a media partner's buying schedule.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted production tooling for resizing, versioning, and variant generation.
  • Experience working with external agency partners on scopes, estimates, and statements of work.
