Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Creative Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in optimizing the efficiency and productivity of the creative team. This individual is responsible for overseeing project workflows, resource allocation, and deadline adherence, ensuring that projects are delivered with high quality, on time, and within budget. By establishing and maintaining processes that support the team's creative endeavors, the Creative Operations Manager enhances the team's ability to scale effectively, meet strategic objectives, and support the brand's vision.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)

  • Develop and implement project and photoshoot management processes and systems to streamline operations, improve productivity, and enhance collaboration across departments.
  • Monitor project progress, adjusting timelines and resources as necessary to meet changing needs and priorities.
  • Facilitate effective communication between creative team members, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure clear understanding of project objectives and timelines.
  • Manage and optimize the department's budget, including tracking expenditures and ensuring cost-effectiveness in creative production.
  • Lead the procurement and management of external vendors and freelancers, including contract negotiation and performance evaluation.
  • Analyze team performance and project outcomes to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance productivity and creativity.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Creative and other department leads to align creative operations with overall business goals.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in creative operations, project management, or a related role within a creative or marketing environment.
  • Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and managing creative projects from conception to completion.


Special Requirements:

  • Driver’s License
  • Occasional day, overnight and weekend travel

Location: Hybrid remote/in office at Aurora company headquarters with ability to travel to company offices or photo shoot locations as business needs dictate

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a creative team.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and project planning skills.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations and foster collaborative relationships.
  • Deep understanding of creative processes and how to support them operationally.

Equipment Used:

Computer, printer, phone, and other standard office equipment.

Computer Software: Adobe Design Suite, Monday, Figma, Brandfolder, NetSuite, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands to finger, grasp, handle or feel, and perform repetitive motions of the hands and/or wrists.
  • Close mental and visual attention required to plan or direct fairly complex work methods or operations that obtain size, shape, or physical qualities of product.

Environmental Conditions:

There is no exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Work is performed in a typical office work environment.
