Job description

Our Customer is an American financial services mutual organization based in Milwaukee. The financial security company provides consultation on wealth and asset income protection, education planning, retirement planning, investment advisory services, financial planning trust and private client services, estate planning and business planning. Its products include life insurance, permanent life insurance, disability income, and long-term care insurance; annuities; investments; and investment advisory products and services.


Our customer is looking for a Creative Project Manager on a contract basis to help support their ongoing business needs. This role is hybrid (2-3 days on-site/week) at 20 hours per week in Milwaukee, WI.



Responsibilities:

  • Intake and manage creative project requests from marketing, enterprise, and internal resource teams
  • Build and maintain project schedules, timelines, and resource plans
  • Coordinate internal creative teams, business partners, and external agency partners to ensure timely delivery
  • Track project progress and proactively resolve scheduling, resourcing, and workflow issues
  • Maintain detailed project documentation and status updates using project management tools
  • Support stakeholder alignment and negotiation to keep projects on track
  • Monitor short- and long-term projects, including those requiring ongoing follow-up
  • Collaborate heavily through digital communication tools to manage workflows and dependencies
  • Support projects related to branding, regulatory filings, and creative asset coordination
  • Take on increasing responsibility as capability and reliability are demonstrated


Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in a creative, marketing, or agency environment
  • Internship or academic experience in a creative field is acceptable
  • Understanding of creative workflows and production processes
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and partners
  • Ability to problem-solve and keep projects, people, and deliverables aligned
  • Experience working in or alongside an agency environment preferred
  • Familiarity with project management tools preferred
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new responsibilities
  • Ability to work independently as an individual contributor
