Credit Risk Specialist (100% Remote)

Our Customer is an American financial services and digital payments company based in San Francisco, California. They’re working to help their diverse audiences — sellers, individuals, artists, fans, developers, and all the people in between — overcome barriers to access the economy.

We are seeking a highly motivated Credit Risk Specialist on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote.

Schedule: 9 am - 5 pm local time zone after training is completed. Training hours are from 9 am - 5 pm PST

Responsibilities:

• Resolve customer inquiries via email using CRM tools
• Triage seller needs based on their loan lifecycle stage and follow proper escalation paths to mitigate risk
• Respond to questions regarding business documentation and current loan status
• Maintain or exceed established service level agreements to ensure timely transaction resolution
• Identify, document, and escalate product bugs and feature gaps to cross-functional teams
• Advocate for the seller community by identifying trends and recommending improvements to processes, policies, and products
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve complex inquiries and support teammates
• Participate in ongoing BSA/AML training and perform required compliance-related duties
• Effectively operate in a remote environment using Slack and video conferencing tools

Skills and Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of professional experience with a financial institution or payment provider required
• Experience in direct customer-facing roles required
• Ability to manage multiple assignments independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to change and think critically in new situations
• Passion for delivering strong customer experiences
• Strong internet research skills and proficiency with Google Docs and PC-based tools
• Experience with SQL preferred
• Comfort working on a MacBook is preferred
