Job description

About the Role

Our Client is seeking friendly, customer-focused independent contractors to contact guests ahead of their vacation to ensure they know about their included beach gear credit and understand how to redeem it. You’ll provide helpful information about their delivery, answer questions, and ensure they feel confident and excited for their stay.

This is a remote, flexible role that’s ideal for contractors with strong communication skills and a passion for great customer experiences. The ideal candidate is proactive, comfortable making outbound calls, and able to handle questions with empathy and professionalism. Familiarity with HubSpot or other CRM tools is a plus.

Core Responsibilities

  • Make outbound calls and send emails to guests ahead of arrival to ensure awareness and understanding of their gear credit.
  • Answer any questions around the program, credit value, delivery fees, order timelines, and available gear options.
  • Provide general trip support, helping answer guest questions and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Log guest interactions, notes, and outcomes in HubSpot and Google Sheets.
  • Identify and share trends or recurring questions in weekly meetings to help improve guest experience and communication.
  • Follow up as needed to ensure guests have successfully placed their orders or received support.

Qualifications / Skills

  • Proven background in customer experience, hospitality, or phone-based support (2+ years preferred).
  • Comfortable making proactive, outbound calls to guests who may not be expecting a call.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a confident, positive, and professional tone.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple guest conversations efficiently.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems quickly; experience with HubSpot is a plus.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

Contract Terms & Benefits

  • Independent Contractor (1099) role — flexible hours within business hours and fully remote.
  • Contractor-led schedule within defined guest contact windows.
  • Training and ongoing support provided by the team.
  • Seasonal opportunity with potential for renewal or expansion based on performance and company needs.

All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be legally authorized to work in the United States and are required to have U.S. residency at the time of application.

Screening Questions

  • Describe your experience making outbound calls or handling customer outreach.
  • This role requires entering notes and tracking communication in HubSpot Google Sheets. What CRM systems have you used, and how comfortable are you with them?
  • How do you approach a guest who seems frustrated, confused, or uninterested during a call?
