Customer Service Account Manager

The Mom Project is excited to partner with our client, a transportation company located in Clinton Township, MI, that specializes in helping small to medium sized companies get there freight delivered on time at the lowest cost possible. They are looking for a Customer Service Account Manager to join their team!

In this role, you will manage customer accounts and provide excellent customer service. The goal is to keep the department running in an efficient and profitable manner, to increase customer satisfaction, loyalty and retention and to meet their expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Improve customer service experience, create engaged customers and facilitate organic growth


• Take ownership of customer issues and follow problems through to resolution


• Receive, investigate and respond to all customer service requests regarding shipments. Input phone and email orders and relative data into the computer database.


• Quote, set up and manage shipments.


• Keep accurate records and document customer service actions and discussions


• Speak with customers by phone concerning shipments.


• Receive and enter phone and emailed shipment information.


• Keep ahead of industry’s developments and apply best practices to areas of improvement


• Invoice resolution and disputes.


• Contact customers when necessary to advise shipment issues and to obtain information necessary to process orders.


• Obtain customer feedback information.


• Maintain an orderly workflow according to priorities

Skills:

• Experience in providing customer service support


• Basic computer and keyboarding skills


• Ability to think strategically


• Strong client-facing and communication skills


• Advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills
