We are seeking a Licensed Insurance Service Rep on a contract basis to support our Customer’s business needs. This role is 100% remote. Must have California, Michigan, New York, Indiana, Florida, and Massachusetts active licenses and at least three of the following states: New Jersey, Ohio, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Connecticut
Responsibilities:
- Handle inbound customer service calls and document all interactions accurately in a CRM system
- Respond to standard and complex customer inquiries regarding benefits, products, and services via phone and email
- Research customer questions and provide timely follow-up through outbound calls or written communication
- Prepare and deliver formal responses using approved reference materials to ensure accurate and compliant information
- Request and track missing or additional customer information as needed
- Document customer issues and escalate cases to appropriate internal teams for resolution
- Troubleshoot basic website navigation and functionality issues
- Assist customers with enrollment in life and health insurance products
- Support customers with payment processing and payment-related inquiries
- Assist customers with claims submissions and claims-related processes
- Work within a structured contact center schedule and meet service-level expectations
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service or sales experience
- At least 6 months of experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Basic computer and technical troubleshooting skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Prior call center experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred
- Experience supporting life, health, or employee benefits products preferred
Licensing Requirements:
- Active insurance licenses are required in all of the following states: California, Michigan, New York, Indiana, Florida, and Massachusetts
- At least three of the following states: New Jersey, Ohio, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Connecticut
- Ability to provide proof of active licensing through an NIPR Producer Database report
