Job description

With roots dating back to the 1800s, our Customer is a global professional services firm HQ’d in New York City with businesses in insurance brokerage, risk management, reinsurance services, talent management, investment advisory, and management consulting. We are seeking a Licensed Insurance Customer Service Representative on a contract basis to support our Customer’s business needs. This role is 100% remote.


Responsibilities:

  • Handle inbound customer calls and provide exceptional service in a fast-paced, high-volume call center environment.
  • Assist customers with questions related to Life & Health insurance products, benefits, and coverage.
  • Educate customers on available insurance options while ensuring compliance with state and company regulations.
  • Accurately document customer interactions and maintain detailed records in company systems.
  • Verify customer information and process policy-related requests with a high level of accuracy.
  • Maintain active insurance licensure and comply with all required state licensing regulations.
  • Meet quality, productivity, attendance, and performance metrics while delivering a positive customer experience.
  • Collaborate with teammates and leadership to support business goals and participate in ongoing training and coaching.


Qualifications

  • Active California (CA) and Florida (FL) Life & Health insurance licenses are required before interviewing.
  • Must be willing to obtain Michigan, New York, and Indiana Life & Health licenses, plus at least three (3) additional state licenses upon offer acceptance.
  • Reliable high-speed internet (50+ Mbps) with a hardwired Ethernet connection is required.
  • Must be available to work between 7:00 AM–8:00 PM CST, Monday–Friday, based on business needs.
  • Must be available to work overtime during October–December as needed.
  • Ability to maintain 100% attendance throughout the paid training and nesting periods.
  • No planned time off during the peak season (Q4).
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume call center environment.


Licensing Note: Candidates must have active CA and FL Life & Health licenses prior to interviewing. Additional required state licenses must be obtained within the required onboarding timeline to maintain employment.


Please note that this is not a sales role. All calls will be inbound. Call volume: 20-35 calls per day.
