Job description

The Mom Project is excited to partner with our client who is a team of innovators, researchers, clinicians, and technologists with a big vision: to ensure every parent has the support they really need to nurture thriving families.

About Us:

We are a community of parents & development experts. We lead evidence-based, virtual, expert-facilitated small parent groups that guide members through the experience of parenthood, with the goal of helping them become more reflective, responsive, intentional, and informed in their everyday interactions with their child. We help parents cut through misconceptions and misinformation, making parents’ lives easier and their influence stronger. We also host special guests for workshops & events, moderate forums for our thriving community, and create content & resources on every topic, all in collaboration with both established and emerging voices in the parenting space. We are redesigning the way parents approach parenthood.

About the Role:

We are looking for candidates with extensive knowledge in child development who have experience 1) working with parents or children and 2) group facilitation, to be part of our Groups Leader program for our Pods.

Our leaders partner with us to support parents through a group based model, Coop Group. Groups will include up to 12 parents of similar age children, which meet once a month virtually for 75 minutes. The group leader will help not only to foster a confidential, trusting, and supportive relationship amongst the group but also enhance member’s confidence as a parent by sharing evidence based information and practical strategies to navigate daily challenges. Utilizing both your clinical background as well as our proprietary curriculum, you will guide your groups through age appropriate developmental information, research, and evidence-based strategies that work to scaffold their children’s development and create positive relationships. Coop Groups deliver information that empowers parents in their role and relieves the unnecessary stress of late night googling and frantic blog reading. We turn research into practical strategies for families to use in their everyday interactions.

Our Leaders are dedicated to helping each Coop Group grow and adapt alongside parents, matching instruction with phases of child development and common pain points on the parenting journey. Group leaders have significant experience in group facilitation, and frequently work with either parents, kids, or in education.

As a group leader you will also have ongoing mentorship and training from renowned Child Development Specialists, opportunities for continued learning and advancement, access to the latest relevant research, and on-going support from a team of dedicated professionals.

Please note: This is not a full-time role. Guides are 1099 independent contractors who have flexibility and control over their own schedules and can dedicate a portion of their time to working with us.

All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be legally authorized to work in the United States and are required to have U.S. residency at the time of application.

If you are a person with a disability needing assistance with the application, or at any point in the hiring process, please contact us at support@themomproject.com.
