Job description
A partner of The Mom Project in the automotive industry is seeking a contract Data Analyst to help support their business needs.
The Data Analyst is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving advanced customer cases related to mobile apps, in-vehicle apps, WiFi, account management, and enrollment. This role requires frequent use of SQL to analyze and resolve Level 3 OnStar customer issues. The position also involves database design, testing, maintenance, and supporting enterprise-scale ETL processes.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve advanced customer cases, leveraging SQL to identify and fix issues.
- Collaborate with senior management, technical teams, and client teams to determine data requirements and business data implementation approaches.
- Design, implement, automate, and maintain large-scale enterprise data ETL processes.
- Write and code logical and physical database descriptions; direct coding tasks when necessary.
- Modify existing databases and management systems, ensuring alignment with evolving business needs.
- Test programs or databases, correct errors, and implement required modifications.
- Apply best practices for data manipulation, storage, and analysis strategies.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent).
- 2–4 years of relevant data analyst experience.
- Strong SQL experience (required).
- Experience with database technologies.
- Knowledge of ETL processes.
- Familiarity with at least one scripting language.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated history of success in data-driven decision support.
- Strong desire to work with data to improve business outcomes.
Hours and Location:
Hybrid in Warren, MI
- Monday: Work from Home
- Tuesday-Thursday: Work in Warren, MI
- Friday: Work from Home
