Our customer is seeking a Data Analyst-II on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is 100% remote.



Responsibilities:

We are seeking candidates with strong SQL and ETL experience to support merchant data onboarding and pipeline maintenance.

This role is responsible for transforming, validating, and troubleshooting merchant data feeds to ensure accurate ingestion into downstream systems. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with large datasets, data mapping, transformations, and production troubleshooting.


  • Build, maintain, and troubleshoot ETL/data pipelines supporting merchant onboarding and integrations.
  • Analyze merchant data feeds (JSON, XML, CSV, TXT) and transform them into standardized schemas.
  • Develop and maintain SQL transformations in Databricks (Spark SQL preferred).
  • Create and maintain data mapping logic and transformation rules.
  • Validate data quality, completeness, and accuracy across ingestion pipelines.
  • Investigate and resolve data issues, including root cause analysis and remediation.
  • Collaborate with Technical Account Managers, Product, and Engineering to onboard new merchants and implement data solutions.
  • Support multiple concurrent merchant implementations while meeting delivery timelines.
  • Document transformation logic, mapping specifications, and operational procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve pipeline reliability.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, or data integration.
  • Strong SQL skills (Databricks/Spark SQL preferred).
  • Experience building or maintaining ETL/data pipelines.
  • Experience working with JSON, XML, and CSV Strong understanding of data transformation, schema mapping, and validation.
  • Experience troubleshooting production data pipelines.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation and data specifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Databricks.
  • Experience integrating third-party or merchant data feeds.
  • Experience with flat-file integrations.
