Job description

We are seeking a Business Analyst on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs.


This role will focus on helping operational teams define meaningful metrics that align with strategic goals and maintain org-wide reporting. This role involves creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation around data gaps, metrics, and reports. Additionally, they will manage metric and reporting requests in accordance with established frameworks, ensuring data quality and conducting thorough testing to support informed decision-making. The Business Analyst will report to the Business Transformation Specialist but will occasionally be coordinated by the Business Operations Lead.


This role is onsite in Menlo Park, CA.



Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain documentation of data dictionaries, metrics, and reporting frameworks to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding of new team members
  • Enhance/create metrics in accordance with standardized framework
  • Serve as the central intake and filter for metrics and reporting requests from the operational teams
  • Identify data gaps and scope process/tooling solutions
  • Scope interactive and informative dashboards to help stakeholders understand complex data insights and make informed decisions
  • Translate metrics/reporting requests into comprehensive business requirements for technical teams
  • Define and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with operational teams
  • Maintain dashboard framework and review reporting requests for alignment
  • Active monitoring of reporting dashboards for issues


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) and Salesforce reporting
  • Experience in a business environment where data-driven decision-making is emphasized
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders and facilitate knowledge sharing.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and reliability in data analysis and reporting.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, fostering collaboration and trust.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to understand the broader business context and how data and metrics contribute to overall objectives.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau), Salesforce reporting, and techniques to scope informative dashboards.
  • Operational Acumen: Ability to work with SMEs to understand operational nuances and translate them into business requirements for technical teams.
  • Project Management: Proficiency in managing metric and reporting requests, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify data gaps and scope process/tooling solutions effectively.
  • Time Management: Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time efficiently.
