Headquartered in San Francisco, CA, they have more than 12 offices around the world.


Our Customer is seeking a Data Engineer on a contract basis to help support their business needs. This role is 100% remote.


Responsibilities:

  • Help define company data assets (data model) SparkSQL jobs to populate data models
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to understand data needs, representing key data insights in a meaningful way
  • Help define and design data integrations, data quality frameworks and design and evaluate open source/vendor tools for data lineage
  • Design, build, and launch collections of data models that support multiple use cases across different products or domains
  • Optimize pipelines to facilitate easier development of data artifacts


Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • 3+ years of Python development experience
  • 3+ years of SQL, Spark SQL experience
  • 3+ years of experience with schema design, dimensional data modeling, and medallion architectures
  • Experience building analytics pipelines that directly inform product feature decisions, business decisions
  • Experience working with product managers and Data Scientists to translate product questions into data solutions
  • Experience creating metrics and dashboards that track user behavior, product adoption, or business KPIs
  • Experience with product analytics tools and methodologies (experimentation, cohort analysis, funnel optimization, etc.)
  • Experience with the Databricks platform and data lake architectures for large-scale data processing and analytics
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining data processing systems
