Job description
The Mom Project is excited to support Etsy with their search for a Data Engineer to join them on contract basis.
About the Role:
Etsy's Data Enablement platforms and products allow our internal customers to participate in a growing data exchange, easily producing, consuming, and sharing high quality data to drive insights and innovations. Our analysts, product managers, product engineers, applied scientists and more, navigate Etsy’s vast data ecosystem every day. Our engineers support them by developing intuitive tools, creating data they can trust, and ensuring that all of them, regardless of their background, can access data in their day-to-day. In this role you will be supporting the evaluation of GenAI for Looker and Looker Studio at Etsy.
- Installation and testing of Looker and Looker Studio extension or API plugins.
- Identification and deprecation of unused Looker dashboards.
- Improving our Looker modeling architecture to make the GenAI capability more effective.
- Supporting our engineering team and analytic partners model tuning needs.
- Experience with Looker, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
- Experience working with cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery or Snowflake.
- Experience with Google Cloud and infrastructure as code.
- Familiarity with Looker performance optimization
- Familiarity with Looker extensions and API plugins
- Understanding of Looker Hub and Spoke Model
- GCP Professional Data Engineer Certification
Hours and Location:
- Monday - Friday, 40 hrs/week
- Open to working 10 am EST - 6 pm EST
- 100% Remote
