Our Customer is a corporation that develops, manufactures, and markets robotic products designed to improve clinical outcomes of patients through minimally invasive surgery. Founded in 1995, their goal was to create innovative, robotic-assisted systems that help empower doctors and hospitals to make surgery less invasive than an open approach. Working with the top medical professionals, they continue to develop new, minimally invasive surgical platforms and future diagnostic tools to help solve complex healthcare challenges around the world.


We are seeking a Demand/Forecast Planner on a contract basis to help perform supply and demand planning activities for the Service Business Unit. Responsible for working with Field Service Engineering, Finance, Logistics, Quality, Production Planning, Manufacturing/Service Operations, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing Engineers to obtain an optimal Demand and Supply Plan in order to meet the company’s objectives. Develop key planning initiatives and strategies to support the ongoing transformation and continuous improvement of systems and processes, along with other projects to drive efficiency and scalability. This role is hybrid (3 days onsite and 2 days remote/week) in Norcross, GA.



Responsibilities:

  • Review and validate planning applications (SPP, SAP, o9) statistical forecasts for demand planning and Material/Capacity constrained build plans by gathering inputs from Field Service Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, and Manufacturing/Service Operations.
  • Participate in analysis working with Field Service Engineering and Finance to understand the impact of forecast changes and drivers of forecast change, such as economic trends, competitive issues, events, pricing, and product/regional strategies.
  • Maintain and communicate KPI’s, project status updates, and material availability escalations.
  • Responsible for creating material buffers (ie, Safety Stock) in planning applications (SPP, SAP,o9) and loading MPS into MRP to drive component demand while ensuring SOX compliance.
  • Analyze Demand changes in order to assess the risk around the Demand Plan and the impact of the changes to the Supply Plan.
  • Responsible for creating quarterly SIOP charts and data/charts for monthly forecast reviews.
  • Monitor metrics daily to identify potential supply risk and inventory exposures by aligning supply chain and manufacturing milestones against safety stock and/or forecast are supported in the correct plants.
  • Ability to think through different Demand and Supply scenario planning and understand the impact on inventory projections and E&O exposure.
  • Ability to use and understand planning applications (SPP, SAP,o9) to improve, initiate, and drive process and system improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the forecasting process.
  • Manage and review the SOX compliance package for MRP load in multiple plants.
  • Responsible for maintaining proper inventory levels at the right location/region and reporting inventory health.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Master’s degree in a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in demand and supply chain
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills, and the ability to interact with associates at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to develop and maintain business partnerships with cross-functional departments at all levels, including resolving conflicts, anticipating customer needs, and prioritizing workload and schedules from multiple projects
  • Ability to use analytical and quantitative skills, and statistical techniques to solve complex Supply Chain issues
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and work in a matrix environment where priorities change rapidly and tight deadlines exist
  • Understanding of quality and compliance requirements within the medical device manufacturing industry
  • Experience with Advanced Planning Systems is highly desirable
  • Experience with ERP systems, Business Intelligence applications, and MS Office products, preferably SAP ERP/BI, Tableau, EDW, and Agile. A strong skill set in Excel is a must.
  • Experience in a high-volume ECO environment dealing with multiple plants in ERP
