Candidates should either be on the East Coast or willing to work Eastern Standard Time

Our organization seeks a highly organized professional with significant project management experience to provide part-time, remote help with launching a new democracy initiative. The ideal candidate must be a confident, collaborative self-starter who can work independently, turn ideas into actionable steps, and communicate effectively with stakeholders across our organization as well as external partners.

As a part of this role, you will be supporting our non-profit subsidiary, which will require work with seminaries and pastors. The ideal candidate should be comfortable and familiar with faith-based organizations.

Responsibilities:

  • Drives the launch and operational setup of a new democracy initiative, turning strategic ideas into actionable steps.
  • Writes high-quality project materials, grant proposals, and grant management documentation, ensuring all deliverables are completed on schedule.
  • Ensures all project milestones are completed on-time, within scope, and aligned with grant funding requirements.
  • Acts as a key communication lead by scheduling and leading meetings, preparing internal and external agendas, meeting notes, and status reports for stakeholders.
  • Coordinates work across project resources to align multi-disciplinary efforts.
  • Provides general administrative and project leadership support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven project leadership experience within a democracy, non-profit, civil society, or academic organization.
  • Previous experience in grant writing and/or grant management.
  • Experience launching new projects, programs, or strategic initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; a graduate degree is a plus.
  • Comfort and familiarity working with faith-based partners.
  • Excellent writing, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects effectively in a virtual environment.
