Design Consultant

Our Customer is an American multinational beverage corporation headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. We are looking for a contract Design Consultant to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is a hybrid setup (onsite 3 days a week) in Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities:

• Provide industrial design solutions, analysis, recommendations and project management
• Ensure appropriate planning and execution of assigned creative design projects and initiatives
• Support in the development of new user experience innovations, hardware design explorations, technical execution details, and cost-sensitive approaches to realize the vision across multiple suppliers around the world
• Deliver equipment innovation, user experiences and ‘look & feel’ for hardware and software meeting our Equipment Visual Identity System and the cooler direction

Required Experience and Skills

• A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering
• 2+ years of experience in the following:
  • Hand-sketching
  • Concept creation and development
  • 2D tools (e.g. Adobe CC)
  • 3D CAD tools
  • 3D visualization tools
  • Getting hardware products to market
• Problem-solving skills
• Up to 25% travel

Preferred:

• 2+ years of experience in the following:
  • Prototyping (card mock-ups, model-making and assembly)
  • Industrial design of consumer and commercial products
  • Design and detailing of cosmetic parts in metals and plastics
  • Project management
  • Technical and manufacturing know-how
