Job description

We are looking for a contract Design Consultant to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is a hybrid setup (onsite 3 days a week) in Atlanta, GA.
Responsibilities:
- Provide industrial design solutions, analysis, recommendations and project management
- Ensure appropriate planning and execution of assigned creative design projects and initiatives
- Support in the development of new user experience innovations, hardware design explorations, technical execution details, and cost-sensitive approaches to realize the vision across multiple suppliers around the world
- Deliver equipment innovation, user experiences and ‘look & feel’ for hardware and software meeting our Equipment Visual Identity System and the cooler direction
Required Experience and Skills
- A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering
- 2+ years of experience in the following:
- Hand-sketching
- Concept creation and development
- 2D tools (e.g. Adobe CC)
- 3D CAD tools
- 3D visualization tools
- Getting hardware products to market
- Problem-solving skills
- Up to 25% travel
Preferred:
- 2+ years of experience in the following:
- Prototyping (card mock-ups, model-making and assembly)
- Industrial design of consumer and commercial products
- Design and detailing of cosmetic parts in metals and plastics
- Project management
- Technical and manufacturing know-how
