Job description

Our Customer is a leading global, diversified information, services and media company with more than 360 businesses. Its major interests include various financial services, medical information and services businesses, and lastly, ownership in cable television networks such as A&E, HISTORY, Lifetime and ESPN; 33 television stations; 24 daily and 52 weekly newspapers; digital services businesses; and nearly 250 magazines around the world.


Our Customer is seeking a Desktop Support Analyst on a contract basis to help support their business needs.


The Desktop Support Analyst is responsible for providing 2nd and 3rd level technical support for the end users regarding issues with hardware and software for desktop and laptop computers, network connectivity from home and office, all types of printers, corporate email, and a multitude of software applications, including but not limited to, all Microsoft Office products.


This role involves supporting various locations, with driving as a required part of the job.



Responsibilities:

  • Provide senior-level day-to-day support for end users' hardware, software, and application issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware problems promptly
  • Document procedures for new hardware and software setups
  • Configure, deploy, and support mobile devices, including BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, Android, and iPhones
  • Manage and maintain Configuration Management Systems such as SCCM and Altiris
  • Maintain and update universal computer images and software packages
  • Monitor and report on hardware/software compliance across the desktop environment
  • Administer software updates and oversee patch management


Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS, device drivers, and associated hardware peripherals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for Microsoft Outlook and other email clients
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory administration
  • Familiarity with software deployment tools and compliance reporting systems (e.g., SCCM, Altiris)


Hours & Location

  • Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week
  • On-site in Big Rapids, MI.
  • This role involves supporting various locations, with driving as a required part of the job.
