DIGITAL CLIENT SERVICE MANAGER

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Digital Client Services Manager will be responsible for onboarding new marketing projects and ensuring that projects are moving steadily through our team of writers, designers, client services, and developers each week. The Digital Client Services Manager is responsible for managing campaigns and digital projects from initiation through post-launch project review, on time and within budget. The Digital Client Services Manager will also manage the ongoing monthly work to ensure that all deadlines are being met and clients are getting great results.
The Digital Client Services Manager is the person in charge of scoping projects, creating timelines and managing resource allocation to ensure accurate project delivery, and ensuring the final deliverable meets agency and client’s expectations. We are looking for a team player who gets things done efficiently and is able to hit the ground running. We'd also like you to have significant digital experience, preferably digital agency experience. Also we will be looking for you to review client analytics monthly, prepare monthly KPI reports and lead client calls for our IT services and manufacturing clients.
You should have command of the best practices and trends in all things digital, SEO, development, content marketing, social media marketing and enjoy working with creatives and writers. You must also have played a key role in developing and launching websites.
This position is a part-time 1099 contractor role. A 1099 contractor is an independent worker who provides services to us, offering flexibility in how they complete their work and allowing us to adjust hours based on client demands. Unlike employees, 1099 contractors do not receive traditional benefits and are responsible for their own taxes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Client Service: Promptly address client concerns, build reliable relationships, and balance effective strategies and tactical execution to deliver measurable outcomes that matter to the client's business. Set reasonable expectations, continuously communicate progress toward goals, and manage budgets to ensure the firm's profitability.
- Project Management: Manage assigned client's web design/development projects and oversee ongoing content and social media marketing plans.
- Data Analysis: Analyze client data, conduct regular meetings, and lead calls to review SEO outcomes and client objectives.
- Client Onboarding: Conduct the initial kick-off call to discuss the website's creative brief with the client.
- Client Communication: Lead weekly calls to gather client feedback and relay necessary adjustments to the web development team.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate weekly tasks for team members, setting clear priorities to prevent overload.
- Budget Monitoring: Monitor project budgets to ensure alignment with client goals and expectations.
- Quality Assurance: Perform quality assurance testing on websites to guarantee functionality throughout the development process.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
The ideal candidate for this role must excel at juggling timely tasks, managing multiple schedules, and smoothly transitioning between clients and deliverables, all while effectively prioritizing their workload. You should be someone who thrives on planning your day ahead of time, prefers not to rush through tasks, and has a keen eye for detail, ensuring consistency across your work. Staying ahead of schedules and routinely double-checking your work should come naturally to you. You must be ready to dive into tasks hands-on, beyond merely delegating work, showing a proactive and engaged approach to every challenge.
Required:
- A BA/BS degree in Writing, Marketing, or Business.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with experience in website development, digital marketing strategy, and direct experience with WordPress.
- Solid understanding and demonstrated expertise in web design and digital marketing strategies, capable of leading clients toward innovative campaigns.
- Experience managing remote teams of writers, graphic designers and developers across various time zones, with a commitment to daily communication.
- Knowledge in SEO writing, editing, analysis, content planning, and project management, aiming for excellent client results.
- Strong analytical skills for conducting monthly KPI reviews to assess web client progress, challenges, and team productivity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an eagerness to learn about client industries and needs.
- Ability to manage the lifecycle of multiple projects efficiently, with knowledge in using digital management tools like Buffer, Asana, Harvest, Moz, and Google Analytics.
- 1-3 years of professional marketing experience, preferably in an agency setting, with a proactive approach to task and schedule management.
- Detail-oriented with a preference for planning, consistency, and double-checking work. Openness to hands-on work in addition to delegation.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with Canva, SquareSpace, HubSpot, Constant Contact, Google Analytics, or familiarity with inbound marketing methodology, content management, and social media management.
- Knowledge in HTML or CSS.
Highly Desired:
- Previous agency experience.
- HubSpot certification, or the ability to achieve certification within the first six months of employment.
- Familiarity with using Asana as a project management tool.
- Additional content writing skills are advantageous.
