We are seeking a Digital Experience and Application Development Engineer on a contract basis to support our Customer’s business needs. This role is on-site in Midtown Manhattan.



Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document intranet requirements and business needs.
  • Design and develop information architecture for intranet platforms, including navigation structures, site maps, and content taxonomies.
  • Create wireframes, navigation models, and structural frameworks to guide design and development teams.
  • Organize content logically to improve usability, accessibility, and information findability.
  • Develop and maintain naming conventions and metadata schemas for accurate content classification.
  • Partner with content owners, UX designers, and developers to implement and refine intranet architecture.
  • Conduct usability testing and incorporate feedback to improve user experience and content organization.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to information architecture standards and processes.
  • Communicate architecture decisions and recommendations to stakeholders to support adoption and change management efforts.
  • Ensure intranet architecture aligns with organizational standards, governance, and compliance requirements.
  • Support seamless user experiences across multiple devices and platforms.
  • Contribute to intranet transformation initiatives within cross-functional and agile environments.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Library Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Information Architect, preferably supporting intranet or enterprise content management projects.
  • Strong understanding of information architecture principles, user-centered design, and content strategy.
  • Experience creating site maps, wireframes, navigation flows, and taxonomies.
  • Experience with intranet and content management platforms, preferably SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365.
  • Ability to analyze complex information and translate it into intuitive, user-friendly structures.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to present persuasive, fact-based recommendations.
  • Familiarity with usability testing methods and tools.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
  • Experience working within global cross-functional teams and agile environments.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and documentation skills.
