What’s the role?
As the Digital Marketing Specialist - Affiliate, Performance Influencer, Paid Social, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing Influencer and Seller marketing campaigns, Paid Social media strategies, and Affiliate recruitment, engagement and scalability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency and alignment with overall marketing goals.
For this role, we are considering candidates based in the United States and Canada, however candidates living within commutable distance of the Etsy Brooklyn Hub will be the first to be considered. Even if located within commuting distance of an office, you will have the option to work office-based, flex, or remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Influencer Marketing:
- Identify and build relationships with relevant influencers across Etsy’s top categories and improve and expand partnerships across nano, micro, and macro creators
- Recruit, scale and manage Influencer relationships through our influencer network, Creator Co.
- Proven expertise in negotiations and managing partnership based marketing programs.
- Proven success or track record of developing full funnel influencer campaigns that have contributed to business performance (New Buyers, LTV, GMS/$, etc.) and brand goals.
- Assist in developing channel strategy and budget recommendation across influencers (powered by affiliate and paid social) to hit ROI targets and contribute to topline business growth.
- High level of comfortability using engagement, data and reporting tools, including Mailchimp, Awin, CreatorIQ, Neustar and Looker.
- Collaborate with influencers to create engaging and authentic content that resonates with the target audience to drive sales.
2. Paid Social Media:
- Understanding of Paid Media landscape and ability to develop and execute paid social media strategies across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Youtube utilizing program UGC
- Create compelling ad copy, visuals, and campaigns that drive conversion, engagement, and conversation about Etsy
- You are a highly effective communicator and collaborator, especially with Growth, Brand, Analytics, Finance, Legal and Integrated Marketing teams, as well as external agencies and tools (Awin, Button, Tinuiti, TikTok, Meta, Google, Appsfyler, CIQ)
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics, adjusting strategies to maximize ROI
- Stay updated on industry trends, ad opportunities and platform changes to implement cutting-edge paid social strategies
- You work with an informed urgency—deadlines and milestones are flawlessly managed.
3. Affiliate Marketing:
- Manage and optimize affiliate marketing programs to drive traffic and sales, and have experience working with affiliate networks as well as Performance Influencer subnetworks such as LTK, Collective Voice, Youtube Shopping, etc.
- Recruit and onboard new affiliate partners and develop email marketing campaigns, to foster strong relationships and inspire creator activity and conversion.
- Understanding of FTC requirements, affiliate tracking, privacy and data protection, creator payment mechanisms, etc.
- Develop and provide affiliates with marketing materials, tracking tools, and support to increase GMS
- Analyze affiliate program performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement effective strategies.
- Develop and execute award-winning integrations, influencer/affiliate events, and activations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ Years proven experience in influencer marketing, paid social media, and affiliate marketing.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Creative thinker with a keen eye for visual aesthetics, storytelling and UGC.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in English - German and/or French are a bonus!
