Job Title: Brand Marketing Director

Location: Rockville, MD

Company Overview:

Imagine a world where getting your car serviced was as easy as ordering your groceries. We are passionate about creating a magical customer experience, saving you time and money. Long gone are the days of waiting in service centers or taking shuttle buses to the metro. We come to you whether you are at home or in the office - giving you one less thing to worry about.

We are a small start-up team located in the greater DMV area. We work remotely most days, but gather in our Rockville office or at area events on a regular basis. Our days are not 9-5, but we value flexibility and balance. We are looking to hire a Brand Marketing Director to help us spread the word about our company. The ideal candidate will have a “start-up” mentality, thrive in a fast-paced environment, have demonstrated B2C marketing experience, and get exhilarated when sharing great ideas.

Job Description:

In this role, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing strategies to strengthen our brand image, increase brand awareness in the DMV, and drive customer acquisition and loyalty.

  • Monitor and analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for brand growth and improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as operations, sales, and customer service, to ensure brand messaging and customer experience align with brand values. Enforce brand guidelines where necessary, including look and feel and brand voice.
  • Translate overarching brand positioning into an effective campaign calendar. Move from strategy into tactics and execution, ensuring brand goals are met.
  • Measure brand awareness and top of funnel growth.

Brand Creative

  • Oversee the design and production of marketing materials, ensuring consistency and alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Maintain brand integrity and compliance across all touchpoints, including customer interactions, signage, uniforms, and vehicle branding.

Partnerships

  • Create partnerships with local businesses and community organizations to promote the Roda brand and drive new customer acquisition
  • Establish partnerships with local and national media outlets; manage PR efforts
  • Develop and manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and influencers to maximize brand exposure and optimize marketing initiatives.

Events / Grassroots

  • Manage event marketing calendar to identify and execute the right mix of events to engage Roda’s target audience and expand brand awareness.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team on local partnership and sponsorship opportunities to evaluate, plan and execute these events and partnerships
  • Ideate and execute guerilla marketing tactics to enhance Roda’s physical presence in the market and build brand awareness with in-person and digital campaign components
  • Measure and report on the performance of brand-related activities, using key metrics to assess effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, representing the company at events, including brand events and other local activations.

Social Media Management:

  • Build our social media strategy to further brand awareness goals and activate a larger community of Roda customers on digital platforms
  • Manage and maintain active presence on social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Tiktok, X, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook).
  • Research and engage with influencers to create demand for Roda’s services.
  • Create engaging content, including static and video content for posts, stories, and campaigns.

Email Marketing:

  • Maintain email calendar
  • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns to drive engagement, conversion, and retention. Own email process end-to-end including lifecycle management, template and content creation, proofreading, testing, and scheduling in partnership with the Director of Marketing.
  • Create compelling email content, including newsletters, promotions, and trigger messaging to support lifecycle marketing.
  • Monitor email performance metrics and analyze data to optimize campaigns for effectiveness; create monthly reporting to share our email results.
  • Create and get approvals for promotions to be utilized in email, in collaboration with the leadership team

Qualifications:
