Job description

The Mom Project is excited to partner with a client that is seeking a Director of Communications who will be responsible for developing and executing communication strategies that reflect the mission, vision, and values of their adult foster care business. This role involves building relationships with senior centers, diverse communities, and managing public relations to expand our outreach and provide essential services to those in need.

Our client is an emerging adult foster care provider dedicated to helping families care for their loved ones with disabilities through their specialized caregiver services. They are passionate about supporting our community and making a real difference in people's lives. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Communicate our mission and services to the community.
  2. Build and maintain relationships with senior centers, community groups, and key stakeholders.
  3. Handle media relations, promote services, and manage the company’s public image.
  4. Assist in organizing community-focused initiatives, such as holiday meals.
  5. Ensure all customer interactions are handled with excellent communication and organization.
  6. Develop newsletters to keep the community informed and engaged.

Qualifications Required :

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  2. Bachelor's/Masters/Doctorate/PHD degree in Nursing.
  3. Public relations and community outreach skills.
  4. Leadership experience.
  5. Bilingual abilities (French Creole is highly desirable)
  6. Organizational and multitasking skills.
