What you’ll do:
We are looking for a Director of Product Design to lead our growing design team! You’ll be responsible for leading development of new products and improving existing products, implementing product design policies, objectives, and initiatives while evaluating design ideas.
Main responsibilities:
•Motivate the team to create designs that constantly push boundaries to keep Mom Project at the forefront of UX design
•Manage day-to-day operations of the product design team, including setting priorities, assigning resources, and ensuring project goals are achieved
•Partner with leadership across the organization to identify pain points and opportunities
•Identify and implement process improvements
•Work in close collaboration with the product leaders to create a comprehensive product design strategy for the platform that would be leveraged both for internal and external customers
•Define project timelines and deliverables for design initiatives while reporting on statuses as it is executed
•Drive the user experience integration of the various applications across the organization where it provides the most appropriate business value.
•Provide design direction using internal and external data sources, leveraging relevant and appropriate design principles.
•Stays informed on trends and opportunities in the competitive market.
•Drive the ongoing product user interface strategy for projects across the assigned area of responsibility. This includes an understanding of the best opportunities for business value, scope planning, schedule planning, cost planning, integration planning, quality management, resource management, and communication management.
•Design a yearly roadmap for the user experience working with product stakeholders and company leaders.
•Maintain a good working dialogue with peers, both internally and externally.

Skills & Qualifications:
•15+ years of experience in product design
•6+ years of experience in managing a large design team/organization
•BFA or Bachelors degree in Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field or extensive work experience
•Proven to be a high level strategic thinker with a clear understanding levers that can help scale an enterprise SaaS business
•Experience recruiting, hiring, managing, and developing a high performing design team.
•Experience running product design teams that collaborate effectively with engineering managers and product leaders
•Technically adept and familiar with UI and UX trends on iOS, Android, and the web.
•Experience directing brand, visual, and user experience/product design of projects, across both web and mobile platforms
•Advanced Proficiency using Sketch, Zeplin, InVision, Adobe XD, or other UX/UI design tools
•Advanced Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Illustrator and Photoshop)
•Strong portfolio with UX and UI design with an emphasis on high-fidelity final visual designs
•Ability to understand user needs, motivations and behaviors and translate them into easy-to-use interfaces
•Strong knowledge of User Experience design processes and methodology
