What you’ll do:
We are looking for a Director of Product Design to lead our growing design team! You’ll be responsible for leading development of new products and improving existing products, implementing product design policies, objectives, and initiatives while evaluating design ideas.

Main responsibilities:
•Manage day-to-day operations of the product design team, including setting priorities, assigning resources, and ensuring project goals are achieved
•Coach, grow and mentor a team of strong UX designers
•Acquire a deep understanding and empathy for our users, including internal teams to identify pain points and opportunities
•Work in close collaboration with product & other leaders across the business to create a comprehensive product design strategy for the platform that would be leveraged both for internal and external customers
•Provide design direction using internal and external data sources, leveraging relevant and appropriate design principles.
•Stay informed on trends and opportunities in the competitive market
•Drive the ongoing product user interface strategy for projects across the assigned area of responsibility. This includes an understanding of the best opportunities for business value, scope planning, schedule planning, cost planning, integration planning, quality management, resource management, and communication management.
•Champion & advocate for a design culture across the organization

Skills & Qualifications:
•15+ years of experience in product design
•6+ years of experience in managing a large design team/organization
•BFA or Bachelors degree in Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field or extensive work experience
•Proven to be a high level strategic thinker with a clear understanding levers that can help scale an enterprise SaaS business
•Experience recruiting, hiring, managing, and developing a high performing design team.
•Technically adept and familiar with UI and UX trends on iOS, Android, and the web.
•Experience directing the design for cutting-edge interfaces, web & mobile experiences
•Advanced Proficiency using Sketch, Zeplin, InVision, Adobe XD, or other UX/UI design tools
•Strong portfolio with UX and UI design with an emphasis on high-fidelity final visual designs
•Ability to understand user needs, motivations and behaviors and translate them into easy-to-use interfaces
•Experience with two-sided marketplace design is a plus!
