Director of Publishing Operations (COO similar)

We are currently hiring for a position of Director of Technical Publications. This person will be an experienced strategic thinker with a proactive and future thinking approach to running the technical publications area for JETPUBS. Track record of process improvement and accountability to financial metrics. An effective problem solver who can clear away hurdles that may derail projects or spin resources in the wrong direction. Strong interpersonal and people skills that promote team engagement, accountability to deadlines and project budgets, with the ability to have the difficult conversation when necessary. This person enjoys working within a small, entrepreneurial environment that is mission and results driven, and community oriented. Must have a desire to constantly improve. This is a full-time position with salaried pay, benefits eligibility, and bonus options.

Major Tasks, Key Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

1. Directing strategy for Manuals Department
2. Employee and Contractor Engagement strategy
3. Team management ensuring consistent delivery all projects and tasks on time, within budget, with zero client reported errors
4. Department financial/KPI goal setting and accountability
5. Process improvement focus
6. Comprehensive training program providing client-focus video tutorial channel and team-member onboarding and ongoing training program
