Job description
Our Customer is an American computer and consumer electronics company famous for creating phones and computers. As one of the largest companies globally with a market cap of over 2 trillion dollars, it is a major leader in the space. Although this company was founded in 1976 it has transformed how we connect and communicate worldwide.
Our Customer is seeking an eCommerce Merchant Specialist on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is hybrid (3 days onsite and 2 days remote/week) in Cupertino, CA.
This is a highly cross functional role that will build rapport through collaborative and engaging communication with external partners (merchants & strategic partners), as well as internal partners within WPC organization (Business Development, Product and Operations teams just to name a few).
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for sourcing new merchant opportunities through emails, outbound calls, or inbound lead follow-up
- Managing and supporting merchants through the full enablement cycle, from initial merchant discovery, engagement, commitment, through implementation and launch
- Identifying key players, and managing the end to end enablement process with merchants, and payment partners
- Supporting merchants through post-go live growth initiatives (UX audits, conversion optimization, and anomaly detections)
- Establishing, developing, and maintaining positive business and customer relationships
- Onboarding merchants in partnership with the Technical Specialists to implement an integration that provides a great customer experience
- Building and delivering a communication strategy to evangelize in a one-to-one or one-to-many format whether in person or via Webinars
- Providing updates on account and pipeline progress and productivity KPIs to share with leadership and wider teams
- Maintain merchants contacts and update pipeline status in the internal CRM system
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree or 3-5 years of sales or business development experience
- Excellent communication skills via various mode of communications (email, phone, or in person), with exceptional ability to navigate and collaborate within large complex organizations
- Self-driven, and motivated professional with strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and the ability to stay focused with minimal supervision
- Results orientated with ability to provide continued momentum and focus throughout short, medium and long sales cycles.
- Proven results in a quota-carrying role, with experience in pipeline management, and sales forecasting.
- Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to manage through ambiguities with attention to details
- Solid understanding of Retail/e-commerce and/or Payment industries a plus
