Job description

Our Customer, a Fortune 500 company, is an American producer and marketer of beer, wine, and spirits. They are the largest beer import company in the US, measured by sales, and have the third-largest market share of all major beer suppliers.

We are seeking a fully remote eCommerce Platform & Shopify Manager to help a newly acquired business unit fully integrate with the broader organization on a contract basis.

The Mom Project's client is looking for a hands-on eCommerce Platform & Shopify Manager to own the day-to-day technical operation and development of our brand site, and its connected eCommerce tools.

This is not primarily a project-management role. We need someone who can work directly in Shopify, troubleshoot issues, configure apps, make theme and site changes, support promotions and product launches, and work with internal teams and external partners to keep the site operating effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day operation and technical health of the Shopify storefront.
  • Make and deploy Shopify theme and storefront updates, including PDPs, collections, landing pages, cart functionality and merchandising changes.
  • Build, test and troubleshoot promotions, discount codes, automatic discounts and related promotional functionality.
  • Manage and troubleshoot Shopify apps and integrations.
  • Support product launches, LTOs and promotional campaigns from a site and platform perspective.
  • Own the technical administration of subscription functionality in Stay.ai, including selling plans, customer experience and troubleshooting more complex subscription issues.
  • Support and administer other key eCommerce platforms and tools, including loyalty, customer service and related integrations.
  • Troubleshoot site, cart and checkout issues and coordinate with vendors or company technology teams when broader technical support is required.
  • Support accessibility and ADA remediation work on the storefront.
  • Follow change-control practices (staging, QA and approval before production releases) and keep code, credentials and admin access in company-owned accounts.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation of key site functionality, integrations and technical processes.
  • Partner closely with eCommerce, Brand, CRM, CBI Product/IT and external agency partners.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on Shopify experience, ideally in a DTC eCommerce environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Shopify themes, Liquid, HTML/CSS and JavaScript.
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting Shopify apps and integrations.
  • Experience with promotions, discount logic, product setup and eCommerce merchandising.
  • Experience with subscription platforms such as Stay.ai, Recharge or Skio is strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable troubleshooting APIs, webhooks and integration issues with technical partners.
  • Experience with version control (Git) and staged theme releases.
  • Strong QA and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to operate independently and move quickly in a fast-paced eCommerce environment.
  • CPG, food/beverage or subscription eCommerce experience is a plus.

Key Platforms

Shopify, Stay.ai, Gorgias/Salesforce, Rivo, Klaviyo, UpCart, Abra and other eCommerce applications and integrations.
