A Better Story Starts Here.
At Once Upon A Farm, we've made it our mission to make doing better—and eating better—easy by offering delicious and nutritious snacks and meals for babies to big kids. If you're passionate about creating exceptional digital experiences and want to support a purpose-driven brand, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
We need a Shopify expert — specifically on the Shopify Horizon theme — who can step in and manage day-to-day storefront operations with minimal ramp-up time. This is a highly operational, detail-oriented role supporting a fast-moving DTC subscription business.
Responsibilities
Shopify Platform Management
- Set up new products and packs, both as one-time purchase and subscription offerings – this includes PDPs, Variety Packs, Add-ons, and PLPs
- Manage out-of-stock and back-in-stock scenarios, including swapping items within packs to avoid lost revenue
- Merchandise the site in line with monthly marketing plans
- Manage all site updates in partnership with our development agency
- Troubleshoot site and order issues, coordinating with the appropriate internal and external partners
- Create and manage discount codes as needed
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist in managing DTC catalog; ensure the accuracy of catalog and product data, including pricing, discontinuations and OOS products
- Submit creative requests for new product launches
- Handle ad-hoc website requests as they come up
- Manage and project manage dev agency
- Assist with A/B testing plan
- Conduct regular, structured site audits to identify gaps, bugs, and opportunities across UX, navigation, content, and conversion; own the resulting fix and improvement backlog.
- Use site analytics and merchandising data to make informed decisions on product placement, homepage content, collection strategy, and promotional priorities
- Support on DTC initiatives to drive growth, creative requests, organization/calendar of items going in and out of stock (reminders to put items back in stock), etc.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience running a Shopify storefront, specifically Shopify Horizon
- Tech-saavy and experienced with Shopify apps such as Rebuy, Recharge, Aftership, etc.
- Comfortable owning day-to-day site operations independently
- Strong attention to detail — this role directly impacts revenue (stock swaps, discount codes, merchandising)
- Ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, creative, and an external dev agency
- Ideal candidate would have experience with a subscription-based ecommerce business
Nice to Have
- Development experience (Liquid, HTML/CSS, or working knowledge of Shopify theme code)
- AI experience: optimized for SEO, GEO and AEO.
Note: this is an assignment placed at Once Upon a Farm through The Mom Project
