Our Customer is the world's leading music company that owns and operates a broad array of businesses engaged in recorded music, music publishing, merchandising, and audiovisual content in more than 60 countries. They identify and develop recording artists and songwriters, and produce, distribute and promote the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful music to delight and entertain fans around the world.

We are seeking an EDI Engineer on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs. The EDI Engineer position entails gathering requirements, developing, and maintaining Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems in a manufacturing and distribution environment, with a focus on integrating these systems with our Customer's SAP system. The role requires strong technical skills in EDI standards and protocols, as well as a solid understanding of manufacturing and distribution processes, and SAP systems. The ideal candidate must have technical proficiency, excellent communication skills, and a problem-solving mindset. The EDI Engineer will work closely with functional leaders and organizational units to deploy new business processes. This role is 100% remote and the candidate must be able to work Pacific Standard Time Zone hours.

What You'll Do:

  • Design, develop, and maintain EDI solutions, ensuring compatibility with SAP S4 HANA
  • Analyze and optimize EDI transactions and workflows to support manufacturing and distribution processes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Ensure compliance with relevant EDI standards and protocols for the Company ecosystem
  • Troubleshoot and resolve EDI-related issues, providing timely and effective support
  • Provide documentation for EDI solutions implemented

Must-Haves:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in EDI development
  • Proven experience delivering end-to-end solutions
  • Experience working on tight deadlines for implementation projects
  • Proven experience in EDI engineering, particularly in a manufacturing and distribution context
  • Strong knowledge of the S4 HANA SAP system and EDI integration
  • Familiarity with various EDI standards and protocols, primarily SAP IDOCs and ANSI X12
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Understanding of Physical Supply Chain systems and/or Music business preferred

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) in IT, Engineering, or related science and math discipline with a Technology emphasis

Hours & Location:

  • M-F, 40 hours/week. This role is 100% remote and the candidate must be able to work Pacific Standard Time Zone hours.
