Job description
Our Customer is a mission-driven not-for-profit organization that connects students to college success and opportunity. Founded in 1900, they were created to expand access to higher education. Today, the membership association is made up of over 6,000 of the world’s leading educational institutions and is dedicated to promoting excellence and equity in education. Each year, our Customer helps more than seven million students prepare for a successful transition to college through programs and services in college readiness and college success—including the SAT, the Advanced Placement Program, and BigFuture. The organization also serves the education community through research and advocacy on behalf of students, educators, and schools.
We are seeking a eLearning Developer Consultant on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. This role is 100% remote.
What You'll Do:
- Build out the eLearning courses, that support company programs and the Digital SAT (Suite of Assessments
- For all modules, the guiding principles below must be followed. Modules must be:
- Easy to use and access
- Engaging and interactive
- Effective at providing instruction to learners
- Appropriate for an audience of adult users
- Develop to defined ISD standards and integrate visual design theory and elements to content
- Develop to the company's Brand Guide
- Design interactivity for users to engage with content and UX
- Authoring content and scripts from manuals or SMEs
- Integrate Universal Design standards Software simulations
- Assessment development with use of feedback and remediation
- Quality assurance testing
- Train an estimated sixty thousand users across 12 states/large districts. These users include:
- District staff: district assessment coordinators and curriculum coordinators
- School leaders and staff: including principals, assistant principals, assessment coordinators, counselors, and special populations coordinators
- Content for the eLearning Modules - Modules will be created around a number of content areas:
- Administration: How to successfully plan for administering the test to students
- SAT Suite: The assessments, their structure and content, and related resources
- Alignment: How the assessments align to each other, to standards, and to curriculum
- SSD Accommodations: How to apply for accommodations and plan for administering the assessments to students approved for SSD accommodations
- Using the Reporting Portal: How to access and navigate the Reporting Portal
- Application: How to use data from the assessments to inform curriculum
- Instructional design expertise
- Ability to immediately apply their development experience with Storyline 360 in a small, fast-paced team
- Experience developing throughout the instructional design life-cycle in a production environment (do not count college courses as experience)
- Ability to work in both a collaborative and individual environment following a rapid prototyping-type development model
