We are seeking an Electro-Mechanical Engineer on a contract basis who will support the Customer’s business needs. This role is on-site in Atlanta, GA.
Responsibilities:
- Apply disciplined problem-solving methodologies such as DMAIC, 8D, or A3 to resolve engineering challenges
- Develop product models and detailed engineering drawings using CADD software
- Manage and execute engineering change processes to ensure controlled design updates
- Apply cross-disciplinary engineering knowledge across mechanical, fluid, electrical, and software domains
- Analyze experimental data using statistical methods to support design decisions
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Develop, apply, and adhere to engineering policies and processes to ensure design consistency
- Assess project scope and determine required resources to meet project objectives
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Equivalent years of professional experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years of engineering experience
- Strong problem-solving skills using structured methodologies such as DMAIC, 8D, or A3
- Experience with CADD software for product modeling and detailed drawings
- Experience with engineering change management systems
- General understanding of multiple engineering disciplines, including fluid dynamics, mechanical structures, electronics, and software
- Experience with statistical analysis and interpretation of experimental data
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Strong organizational and project assessment skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data processing and analysis tools such as MATLAB, Python, or JMP
- Experience developing or automating test systems using LabVIEW, PLCs, or related technologies
- Experience with electrical or hydraulic schematics
- Knowledge of fluidics design, including pumps, nozzles, valves, and flow systems
- Experience with design for manufacturing principles
