We are seeking an Employee Relations Advisor on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is hybrid in San Diego, Mountain View, CA.



Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of workplace conflicts and employee escalations appropriate to skill level
  • Work autonomously and in collaboration with HR teams, managers, and employees to resolve issues
  • Follow established protocols and contribute to updates of playbooks and processes
  • Utilize technology to manage cases and maintain accurate documentation
  • Apply critical thinking and analytical skills to assess and resolve complex employee relations matters
  • Maintain objectivity, emotional intelligence, and fairness when managing conflicts or performance concerns
  • Consult with senior team members or managers as needed for oversight on sensitive cases
  • Continuously seek opportunities for learning and improvement in employee experience and operational effectiveness


Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of employee relations experience, or equivalent HR experience (HR Generalist/HRBP)
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ownership of execution and operational excellence
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) for engaging leaders, management, and employees
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
  • High emotional intelligence, empathy, and the ability to build trust and human connections easily
  • Ability to objectively assess situations from multiple perspectives to reach fair outcomes
  • Growth mindset with interest in learning trends and continuously improving processes
