We are seeking an Employee Relations Advisor on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is remote on the West Coast.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a high-volume caseload of employee relations (ER) escalations, including workplace conflicts, concerns around work environment, and consultations on corrective actions
- Independently assess and resolve complex ER cases while partnering with Ethics & Investigations, HR Business Partners, HR Connect, managers, and employees
- Conduct thorough case analysis, document findings, and recommend appropriate resolutions aligned with company policies and best practices
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers on handling employee relations issues and performance concerns
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure consistent and fair application of policies and procedures
- Identify trends and insights from ER cases to inform organizational improvements and risk mitigation strategies
- Contribute to and support updates to ER playbooks, protocols, policies, and manager guides
- Participate in special projects to enhance employee experience, operational processes, and ER effectiveness
Skills and Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Employee Relations experience with strong, hands-on expertise across a wide range of workplace issues
- Proven ability to manage complex and sensitive cases with minimal supervision (ready to hit the ground running)
- Strong conflict resolution skills with the ability to navigate difficult conversations and drive fair outcomes
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, both written and verbal, across all levels of the organization
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to build trust and demonstrate objective empathy
- Data-driven mindset with experience leveraging insights to inform decisions and identify trends
- Ability to balance multiple perspectives and resolve complex employee and organizational challenges
- Strong ownership mindset with a focus on execution and operational excellence
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, dynamic environments
