We are seeking an Employee Relations Business Partner on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. This role is a strategic business partner focused on providing fair and consistent consultative expertise in coaching and building manager capabilities in navigating performance management, interpersonal conflict, and employee concerns within their assigned client group(s). The position works cross-functionally with HRBPs, Employment Law, and Employment Investigation partners. The role is 100% remote to these locations: Baltimore, MD, Boston, MA, Houston, TX, Los Angeles, CA, San Diego, CA, and Menlo Park, CA.
What You'll Do:
- Provide Employee Relations support, thought partnership, and coaching for all employees and levels of management in the organization
- Proactively assess team and manager development needs, make recommendations, and implement appropriate solutions
- Triage employee relations casework identifies potential solutions to address different case types and actions appropriately using guidelines
- Provide rigorous data analysis and reporting solutions based on business needs, highlighting key trends in employee relations to actively drive proactive solutions to minimize reactive work
- Help balance risk, taking into account employee, business, and company perspectives
- Help design and facilitate Manager Training based on data analysis
- Integrate and partner with HR colleagues in the HR Business Partner, Legal, Investigations, Learning & Development, and HR Programs teams to implement solutions and help scale the business
- Partner closely with regional HR partners on global strategy and execution
- Plan, execute, and evaluate complex assignments that have an impact in the region or with the client's supported
- Participate as an integral member of the extended HR community and influence others within the organization
- Build collaborative and productive working relationships
- Lead with integrity, respect, and high personal standards and build personal credibility
- Build internal community (e.g. supports others, shows respect, acts as an ally, onboards new hires, connects people, collaborates well, drives inclusion)
Must-Haves:
- 8-10 years experience in Employee Relations, HR Business Partner, or equivalent role
- Strong case management experience; ability to handle up to 30-40 cases at a time
- Demonstrated solid judgment and experience assisting risk relative to the business
- Demonstrated project management, change management, and experience driving programs independently
- Demonstrated empathy and experience driving inclusion work
- Experience learning and thriving in a constantly changing environment and cultivate relationships across teams
- Experience using data to identify insights that drive action
- Experience helping global and/or matrix organizations scale
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with G-Suite or related software
- Data formation experience and decision-making highlighting key ER trends, and experience leveraging and visualizing data are a plus
- Experience with Tableau, Salesforce, Workday, G-suite, etc. a plus
Education:
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Certificate in either investigations, SHRM, SCP, SPHR, etc. preferred
Hours & Location:
- M-F, 40 hours/week. This role is 100% remote.
