They later branched out to other services, which is now a multinational professional services network with offices in over 150 countries and territories around the world. With more than 100,000 professionals, they provide audit and assurance, tax, consulting, and risk and financial advisory services to a broad cross-section of the largest corporations and governmental agencies.

We are seeking an Engineering Manager on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. This role is 100% remote.

As an Engineering Manager, you will actively engage in your engineering craft, taking a hands-on approach to multiple high-visibility projects. Your expertise will be pivotal in managing engineering teams to deliver solutions that delight customers and users, while also driving tangible value for business investments. You will leverage your extensive engineering craftsmanship and advanced proficiency across multiple programming languages and modern frameworks, consistently demonstrating your exemplary track record in delivering high-quality, outcome-focused solutions. The ideal candidate will be a role model and engineering mentor, advocating engineering excellence, and leading cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, deploy, and operate advanced software solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions that drive customer and business outcomes
  • Serve as a technical advocate, ensuring alignment with architecture, non-functional requirements, and customer goals
  • Promote and support iterative product releases including alpha, beta, and MVP stages
  • Ensure proper planning, code integrity, and overall solution quality across engineering initiatives
  • Foster a culture of engineering excellence through hands-on contribution, code reviews, and adherence to coding standards
  • Identify and resolve technical blockers, optimize performance, and continuously address technical debt within development cycles
  • Mentor and coach engineering teams to build strong technical capabilities and ownership of product outcomes
  • Drive customer-centric engineering through rapid experimentation and iterative solution development
  • Collaborate with product teams and stakeholders to deliver the right solutions at the right time
  • Lead incremental and iterative delivery approaches to navigate complexity and ensure maintainable solutions
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including product, design, delivery, infrastructure, and security to align on product value and feasibility
  • Apply modern engineering practices including Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and deployment strategies such as blue-green and canary releases
  • Oversee full product development lifecycle from design to implementation and scaling, ensuring continuous improvement
  • Translate business and user needs into engineering plans, including sprint planning, task prioritization, and execution
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and influence stakeholders through data-driven insights
  • Build strong relationships across teams and drive alignment through collaboration and shared ownership

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Strong foundation in software engineering and architecture, including OOP/OOD, data structures, algorithms, and system design diagrams
  • 10+ years of experience with programming languages such as Angular, React, Node.js, Python, Streamlit, C#, .NET Core, Golang, SQL, and NoSQL
  • 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams within product-focused organizations
  • Experience leading engineering efforts from concept through delivery and scaling
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud-native engineering, particularly within Azure environments using microservices, FaaS, or PaaS
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and modern engineering practices including DevSecOps, SRE, XP, Lean, and SAFe
  • Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, SonarQube, and similar platforms
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to manage complex projects and priorities
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in AI/ML or Generative AI
  • Experience leading teams in highly scalable, enterprise-level product environments
