Job Summary:
The Epic Application Lead - Integrated Clinical Applications, works as a member of the Clinical Information Systems team that will help lead new implementations as well as support Nuance DAX, and other provider documentation applications.
The Epic Application Lead will work closely with the Epic and other clinical teams to integrate new technologies and processes into provider clinical workflows. Ideal candidates have experience leading projects; troubleshooting technical problems, are familiar with clinical workflows, and able to communicate effectively with non-technical audiences.
Job Responsibilities:

Liaising between the IT department and the business units.

Evaluates and documents business workflows, anticipating requirements and understanding important strategic business needs.

Conducts meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.

Acts as an information source and communicator.

Analyzes the design of technical systems, software expectations, and business models, working with vendors, IT teams and business stakeholders.

Shape business requirements and KPIs by making recommendations and suggesting alternatives to proposed solutions.

Creates and maintains reports to represent vendors, costs, and processes.

Updates, implements, and maintains IT department procedures, such as onboarding.

Prioritizes initiatives based on business needs and balances resources and priorities.
Required Job Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s in computer science, Information Systems, or related discipline and seven (7) years of clinical experience or designing, building, and supporting clinical applications OR an Associate Degree and nine (9) years of clinical experience or designing, building, and supporting clinical applications will be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor’s.

Candidates having experience with integration of voice recognition technology is a plus.

Clinical experience in Epic with clinical documentation and/or orders and results

Experience with Nuance DAX (Dragon Ambient eXperience) a plus

Experience defining clinical and operating requirements, and translate requirements into clear, specific, actionable system configurations, and the ability to implement those configurations.

Ability to test and audit personally developed system configurations, to assure functional accuracy.

Knowledge of systems implementation which may include analysis, specification design, and implementation. Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.

Relationship, teamwork, and project management skills.
-
Strong conceptual, process, and data analysis skills, an in-depth understanding of medical practice informatics, clinical, and operating data sets.

PC proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word).
