Job description

Launched on May 5, 2003, the platform is primarily used for professional networking and career development.

We are seeking an Event Technology Associate on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. This role can be 100% remote anywhere in the US or hybrid setup if in San Francisco or NYC (flexible schedule).

This individual should have a strong event technology skill set, to help elevate the customer journey and align to business objectives. It is important that this person is an excellent project manager, who has the ability to fluidly manage relationships across multiple stakeholders and can prioritize effectively. This individual will serve as the Event Technology Associate for first-party customer events.

This role requires an individual who loves diving into data-sets, creating efficiency modeling and measurement reports, and gets a thrill hitting refresh to see the registration numbers climb while delivering exceptional experiences.

Responsibilities:

General

  • Stakeholder across all Event Tech partners: Website, Mobile App, Engagement and Event Registration platforms and others as needed
  • Contribute to Event Technology RFPs and procurement process as needed
  • Provide recommendations and platform advocacy to GCEE and partnership to the Marketing Technology team
  • GCEE Events Registration Manager for the Talent Connect registration platform, Rainfocus

Set up and manage the full Rainfocus customer and internal registration experience including but not limited to:
  • Registration paths / builds
  • List management
  • Registration codes
  • Transactional emails
  • Call for Speakers portal, managed via Rainfocus currently
  • Session builder/scheduler
  • Dashboard creation and reporting
  • Lead capture
  • Badges/lanyards development and on-site implementation
  • Onsite preplanning in collaboration with support agencies
  • Onsite registration and session scanning management
  • Tech integrations including mobile app
  • Talent Connect external inbox management
  • Field Enablement coordination and customer services
  • Customer eligibility
  • Cancellations/substitutions
  • Manual attribution
  • Registered list
  • Exceptions
  • Special requests

Registration manager for other events and experiences that use Splash or equivalent platforms
  • GCEE 1st party event websites and Splash pages
  • Key stakeholder across websites and Splash pages that support GCEE-led events
  • Manage the full website and Splash experiences including but not limited to:
  • Collaboration with designers on website development and design
  • CMS familiarity and content management
  • UX and usability
  • Reporting and registration integration & management
  • Compliance and accessibility

Mobile App
  • Manager for the mobile app platform, Eventbase used for Talent Connect Summit
  • Set up and manage the full app experience including but not limited to:
  • Annual launch and engagement campaign
  • Attendee journey
  • Content development and posting
  • Integrations with registration platform
  • Push notifications
  • Surveying and lead capture
  • Reporting


Basic Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of Event Technology experience
  • 2+ years experience working in the Rainfocus platform
  • You have the ability to effectively communicate, collaborate and build relationships
  • Given the fast-paced environment, you are flexible, resourceful and highly organized
  • You have a positive attitude and a solution-oriented approach to tackling challenges
  • You take pride in your work and know how to have fun while doing it
  • Travel required for 4-6 events per year


Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in event industry
  • Proficient with registration platforms
  • Successful track record of working with cross-functional teams and senior level stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Prioritize effectively while managing multiple competing priorities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure with tight deadlines

Technology & Tools Qualifications:
  • Proficient and well versed in Rainfocus and Splash
  • Proficient in the following: Salesforce, GSuite Products/Tools, MSFT Products/Tools, including SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc., Virtual Meeting technology, Smartsheets
